Corrections

There are many variations of longtime sayings that it takes a big person, or organization, to admit they are wrong.

What's pointed out far less frequently is the degree to which it might not require one to need to be so big if they didn't have such a hard time admitting it in the first place!

And a free tip that is actually worth something, which is that individuals or organizations who fall into that latter category can sometimes by not being big in the right way create much bigger problems, whether for themselves, you, or others.

The 2015 8 second attention span study

Cited originally in the post titled "Almost Everything You NEED Can Be Learned As a Child, Almost Everything Adults SHOULD BE Most Never Are. Do you have everything you need?"

That study and the many related articles that covered it may not have done sufficient fact checking, as pointed out by Nate Elliott, creator of the Good Data Project, in his article, "The 8-second attention span is BS. This is why" (language disclaimer as the title is provided here as-is).

However, this is one of those instances where though accuracy of one study may be in question, the reality of the existence of essentially the same kind of lack of attention span, whether measured in seconds or a minute or a few (citations and research references readily available) has been well studied and proven.
